Eat My Hat

Updated: Aug 14, 2020

Someone reminded Peter Hinton that he said he'd 'eat his hat' if the shop wasn't open by the end of May. Well it opened the first day of June so Peter is currently suffering indigestion. :-)

Still little things to do but the shelves are stocked and the staff are eager to serve you and find out what you would like us to stock if you cannot find it on the shelves.

The kitchen equipment has been delivered and by the end of August the cafe will be ready for use, when Covid regulations allow. In the meantime we can offer fresh coffee or tea and in house baked bread or pastries. It very soon became obvious that the excellent insulation provided by the building construction, was a two edged sword. Whilst we will get the benefit in winter we had to bring forward the installation of air conditioning for the benefit of customers staff and our stock.
